Owen Paul is best known as the Scottish singer and co-writer of the 1986 number 3 hit My Favourite Waste of Time.

Since then he has run a successful West End theatre in Leicester Square and toured the UK and Europe as part of Mike and The Mechanics. He was the vocal arranger on their ‘Rewired’ album, produced a triple platinum selling album for Japanese band ‘Buck Tick’ and co-produced the UK entry for Eurovision 2001 for Lindsay Dracass which went on to become a top 20 hit.

 

Owen is lead vocalist for XSM (Ex Simple Minds) a band featuring the original members of Simple Minds and performs at 80’s festivals as a solo artist. He released his most recent album - About Time II in 2014.
